Derick Tsang — Product Designer

I design AI into enterprise tools people already trust. Previously Senior Product Designer at Visier, working on analytics and enterprise AI. Open to new opportunities.

Rebuilding Analytics Around AI

The conversation became the product, and dashboards became what it produces. I owned the interaction design and UX workflows for Visier's AI-first release. Shipped in 2026.

Vee: Designing Trust Into Enterprise AI

Hundreds of analysts across Fortune 500 customers use Visier's award-winning AI. I led its design end to end, from first run to every page.

Report & Detailed Table

Two tables, different purposes: designing tabular experiences for exploration vs. reporting across Visier's enterprise and embedded platform.

Visier Design System 2.0

I led Visier's design system refresh alongside my analytics work: fourteen Figma libraries consolidated into two, tokens named with engineering and shipped, and new components that every new feature is now built on.

Clir Report Builder

Sent to fix Clir's reporting tool in 2021. What I found was a versioning problem hiding inside an export button.

I'm a senior product designer in Vancouver, most recently at Visier. I design enterprise tools where one screen serves several people: the analyst who builds a report, the executive who reads it, and the admin who controls who sees it. These users care whether the tool works, not how it looks, and a tool that works well is what I find beautiful. I also design charts and data visualizations, where every dataset is a new puzzle.

I start from first principles and design two answers: the direct one, and one that attacks the same problem from an odd angle. The second rarely ships, but it tells me whether the first is really the best. I sketch on paper, then prototype with AI tools so people can click through an idea early.

Outside work I read about cities: how they get planned, and why some streets work while others don't. I grew up speaking Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, I'm learning Japanese, and most of my travel is an excuse to walk around somewhere new.
